Getting Closer!!
January 31, 2011 (comments: 0)
As work continues in preparation of the BIG DAY to finally open our doors, the time to announce the Grand Opening Date is within sight! This week we will have the first of our town inspections, the refrigerators will be delivered and installed and interviews to select those individuals that will join the team will take place.
Over the past week, I have spoken with many producers and distributors of an incredible array of artisan and gourmet foods in identifying the finest products we can offer to the customers of The Cheese Cave. In the coming days, these great products will begin to arrive and take their place on our great looking shelves.
While a date has not yet been set for the Grand Opening, I am optimistic that it will happen sometime in the third week in February so Please Stay Tuned!!

Progress Continues!

A week of more work that included the refinishing of the existing floors, installation of pendant lights and new ceiling fans and the beginning of custom built counters that incorporate the recycled barn wood into the design topped with oak butcher blocks. Looking Great!
While some of this wonderful work was being completed, I was in San Francisco attending the Fancy Food Show. Two full days of meeting some terrific people, sampling lots of food and identifying some unique and fantastic food that will find their way on to the shelves in The Cheese Cave.
As things continue to take shape, the Grand Opening Date will become more clear - its looking more and more like sometime the week of February 13th! More definite news on the opening date to come. . . .

Progress!
January 11, 2011 (comments: 1)
Much work has been accomplished in preparing The Cheese Cave to open its doors for business. The opening originally targeted for the last week in January will be pushed into February due to delays in equipment delivery. In the meantime, work continues in the store so that we are ready to hit the ground running once the last piece is in place!
Pictures of some of the work have been posted to share our progress. More to come!
This weekend I will be traveling to the Fancy Food Show in San Francisco where there will be over 1200 vendors, distributors and manufacturers of specialty food products. The goal is to discover high quality products that will enhance our product offerings in the store.
